Riverside: Wagga Beach is a popular, natural, attraction in Wagga Wagga. There's great access to the Murrumbidgee River, plenty of grassed, shady spots for a picnic, sheltered barbecue areas, a playground and seats to sit and watch the world go by. Splash about and cool off at the sandy beach area during the warmer months. Or, launch your kayak or canoe from here and see part of our city from the water. Riverside: Wagga Beach is also part of the Wiradjuri Walking Track in Wagga Wagga. Stop off here for a rest as you wander the track, or start here and discover more of our city. Lake Albert

Lake Albert is one of Wagga's most popular recreational facilities. It caters for boating, fishing, swimming and other aquatic activities, and is commonly used by walkers, joggers and bike riders. It is family friendly and a must for visitors to Wagga Wagga. Eight fitness stations have been installed in four locations on the eastern side of Lake Albert. Set over 800m, the fitness stations are very popular with users of the lake. The walking track around Lake Albert is 5.5 kilometres.

RAAF Wagga Aviation Heritage Centre

The RAAF Wagga Aviation Heritage Centre showcases Air Force history, along with representing the significant involvement of the RAAF in the Riverina region of New South Wales. The static display aircraft represent over 70 years of RAAF flying history and are completely accessible for the public to view and photograph. The Centre comprises Air Force heritage artefacts displayed in various themed rooms representing the units on base, No 31 Beaufighter Squadron, the contribution made by people from Wagga Wagga and the Riverina region and a room dedicated to the Riverina during WWII. The Memorial Garden contains a replica of a WWII Chapel linked to 31SQN and a water tank mural dedicated to the Empire Air Training Scheme. As the last remaining Riverina WWII Base within a network of bases incorporating Narrandera, Temora, Deniliquin, Tocumwal, Cootamundra, Parkes, Narromine and Uranquinty; this Aviation Heritage Centre represents the only repository for regional specific RAAF memorabilia.
